The Artist:

I have been creating since before I can remember. I live for my art. Though I went to college for web development and graphic design, I have gone off on my own as a self-representing artist. Acrylic paint and plaster textures are my materials of choice, but I still design graphic manipulated images available in print.

Awards:

Back in November of 2004 I quit my job so I could spend more time painting and studying art on my own. March of 2005, I entered my first art piece in a Juried art show held by the FALC in Cary NC. April 4th it was announced that I made it in the show and won the 2005 Garden Gallery Purchase Award. This has pushed me to keep studying, and keep creating!

Since I started selling on Ebay, where most of my art is available constantly, I have sold pieces all across the US, Canada, England, The Middle East and even China. You can search ebay for seller v-fem to find my current auctions. I also sell locally at some bars, and several art festivals that come through the area.

A little something else:

I live with my husband and house full of crazy animals in Raleigh, NC. We're expecting our first child due March 5th 2007. Though I moved down from Connecticut several years ago, I have found I like the charm and people of North Carolina very much. My studio, which is in my home, is open to visiters by appointment only.
